About the event

Our Alaska Chapter will have a general membership meeting at 4 PM, Sunday, May 25, 2025, in-person and online.

Poet and writer, Lawrence Matsuda, who was our featured speaker at last year’s Day of Remembrance observance, will join us to introduce his new book, Harry S. Kawabe: His Story & Legacy.  Harry Kawabe was a true Alaskan pioneer, a prominent business figure in Seward, and a leader in the Japanese American community during the World War II incarceration.  This book is now available through Amazon.

We will also have a President’s Report, a continuation of our last meeting's gift auction, and a potluck dinner for those attending in person.
